Netflix has officially unwrapped its 2026 Christmas movie lineup, and the streamer is going big on holiday cheer. A teaser released through People on October 11 previews four festive films set to arrive weekly across November and December, starring Jared Padalecki, Maddie Ziegler, Fantasia Barrino, and other familiar faces. Longer trailers and behind-the-scenes details are expected throughout the week.

First up is A Dog's Perfect Christmas, premiering November 4. The family drama stars Dennis Quaid, Milo Ventimiglia, Jennifer Tilly, and Mary Steenburgen, and follows a teenager, her grandfather, and his loyal basset hound as they try to hold their household together through the festive season. Directed by Cathryn Michon and based on a novel by W. Bruce Cameron, the author of A Dog's Purpose, it is positioned as the lineup's emotional anchor.

On November 11 comes Tyler Perry's The Gospel of Christmas, written and directed by Perry. The film centers on a struggling pastor who inherits his family's church in a troubled New York neighborhood and must rediscover his faith to save his church, family, and community. Fantasia Barrino and Tank lead the cast, joined by gospel legends including Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond, the Clark Sisters, Yolanda Adams, and CeCe Winans — making it the musical centerpiece of the slate.

November 18 brings Guarding Stars, the holiday bodyguard rom-com headlined by Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki. Meester plays no-nonsense bodyguard Hannah Brooks, assigned to protect charming action star Jack Stapleton from a stalker over the holidays at his family's Montana ranch — a trip that gets complicated when she has to pose as his girlfriend. Directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, the filmmaker behind the Netflix hit Purple Hearts, the film adapts Katherine Center's bestselling novel The Bodyguard, with Netflix retitling it to avoid confusion with the 1992 classic of a similar name. The official trailer has already landed alongside a batch of first-look images.

Rounding out the teaser is In a Holidaze, completing a slate that mixes holiday romance, family drama, comedy, and gospel music. The weekly cadence — one premiere each week from early November into December — is designed to keep Netflix in the seasonal conversation all the way through the holidays. Fans of festive rom-coms can also revisit our coverage of the season's upcoming Christmas titles.

The lineup arrives as Netflix's film division heads into its first holiday season under new content chief Peter Rice, and as our piece on Gerwig's ambitious Narnia project shows, the streamer's movie ambitions are only growing. Expect the full trailers to drop in the coming days — and the holiday queues to fill up fast.
